After completing a 2600 mile hike from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail, Andy is discovering that life at the end of the trail is far less certain.
It's several months later and Andy is drifting and alone on a meandering road trip, grappling with the death of a loyal companion, the impact of his journey, and looking for the signs he had come to rely on. He encounters Josephine (played by Karla Droege) in a small town laundromat, her frequent retreat from a husband and family. They share their stories, the choices and path their lives have taken, until a quiet evening together takes an unexpected turn.
"It was the hardest simple thing I could think of."
"Whenever I saw one of those little white trail signs, I felt like I was right where I was supposed to be—that I was home."
